SAMR

I believe I am somewhere between augmentation and modification in the SAMR model.  I have had students use the Internet to create videos and comic strips, as well as create surveys to obtain information from other students.  They used the tablets to share information and collaborate with each other to research 2 sides of a controversial scientific topic.

I would benefit from instructional coaching by seeing examples of other classes using similar devices with similar curriculum.  Also, I think having time to find things on my own and explore over the summer will benefit me as well.  Receiving the tablets in the middle of the school year made it difficult to take the time to prepare and integrate the technology into the classroom.

There are several teachers who have had experience with technology in other school distracts and are now employed by Angleton ISD.  I think their experiences with the devices would benefit the program.
